We had a sad weekend here at the farmyard. We found our sweet Luna passed away in the shop on Friday evening. It was very sudden and completely unexpected.
I have no idea why. I had no indication that anything was wrong. She had been underfoot like normal when I’d been working in there. She’d been eating normally so far as I could tell. It was quite a shock to find her. Chris laid her to rest on Friday evening.

Today I’d like to take a moment to remember our kitty cat, Luna. She was a real sweetheart and a member of the family. She was also pretty easy-going and a darn good sport, as you can see. My daughter used to love dressing her up!

She was so typically curious. And always ready to lend a helping hand.

Like any cat, she loved the Christmas tree.

She was a big girl. And wasn’t always very ladylike…

Lulu started out as a litter of 3, orphaned very early. A friend of mine rescued the litter and we did some babysitting, including bottle feeding the 3 kittens. We fell in love with Luna and Chris also decided to keep B. Here they both are as kittens. So cute! But, unfortunately, with no momma, not very well-trained in cat behavior. Sometimes, Luna reminded me more of a dog than a cat. And her litter box etiquette was severely lacking!

If there was a box or a hidey-hole, no matter how small it was, she’d find it and try to fit!

Lulu-Belle sure did love her people. We loved her right back!

Our sweet girl, gone too soon. We’ll miss you, Lou. ❤️
